Part 2 of 7 – Building the Bridge: From self-discovery to divine power

Part 2 of 7 – Building the Bridge: From self-discovery to divine power

Awakening is a beginning, but it is not the whole journey. At some point, insight has to become embodiment. What you understand must begin to shape how you live. Otherwise, the spiritual life remains an idea instead of a force.

That is where the bridge appears.

The bridge is made of awareness, intention, and repeated choice. It is crossed one thought at a time, one honest decision at a time, one act of self-respect at a time. You do not leap over the gap between where you are and where you want to be. You build your way across it.

Many people wait for life to change before they change.

Part 1 of 7 – You Are Never Too Old to Begin: Why awakening is a marathon, not a sprint

Series intro
There comes a time in life when truth matters more than performance, and presence matters more than speed. For many readers in later life, spirituality becomes less about collecting ideas and more about living with clarity, honesty, and meaning. This seven-part series is an invitation into that deeper way of living: practical, mystical, and rooted in the conviction that awakening is always possible.  Each new part should appear approximately one week after the previous one.

You Are Never Too Old to Begin: Why awakening is a marathon, not a sprint

There is a quiet lie many people carry into later life: that the time for change has already passed. The truth is kinder. You are never too old to begin.

Celebrate the Spring Equinox, the time of Green Fire,

In the Northern Hemisphere, March 20th is the Spring Equinox; when day and night will be equal in length at the equator and light and dark will be perfectly balanced. It is also the New Year for many Indigenous cultures as well as current Earth honoring spiritual traditions that follow the ancient ways.

In ancient traditions, the Vernal Equinox is considered the time of Green Fire. It refers not only to sap rising, but also to the electrical energy pulsing through the growing plants. This is not a metaphor; as my electrician husband explained, green fire is literally electrical, just like our own nervous systems. Humans and plants have the same oscillation frequency, which is why we can align with the energy of the plants when we pay attention.

Embrace Hope my friends,

Imbolc (February 1st and 2nd) is the time of hope for new life and the return of the light. For thousands of years, Imbolc, meaning “in the belly” was a sign of hope that the ewes were pregnant and there would be lambs born in the spring. People also celebrated that the days were gradually lengthening.

The older traditions are based on the seasonal signs of Nature. Our Ancestors knew that Nature was the most important teacher. Hope was generated by the signs Mother Earth provided such as pregnant sheep and the first flowers poking up through the snow. Even though our culture has mostly disconnected us from paying attention to the natural world, there is a growing trend to bring us back to practices such as Forest Bathing, planting our own healing herbs and protecting both plant and animal species.

The January 2026 full moon is upon us! Here’s what to expect when the “Wolf Moon” prowls over the horizon tonight, kicking off a spectacular natural light show as the first full moon (and supermoon) of 2026.

full moon occurs when the moon sits opposite the sun in Earth‘s sky — an event that occurs just once in each of its 27-day recurring orbits — causing the lunar disk to appear fully-lit from our perspective. January’s full moon officially reaches peak illumination at 5:03 a.m.

2026: The Crossroad

We are approaching a threshold that cannot be softened or postponed. As this new year unfolds, it’s becoming clear that we have already entered the most intense period of change this world has ever known. What is moving now is not incremental—it is foundational. Something vast is already underway, and it will not wait for our comfort or consensus. The only real choice left to us is how we meet it.

This is why I have named it 2026: The Crossroad.

A crossroad is not a destination. It’s a choice of direction. A moment you move through, not a place you inhabit. It is where neutrality dissolves, where the familiar loosens its grip, and where standing still is no longer possible.
